Why I’m returning to ski Falls

There’s rivalry between Australian resorts. I’ve been lucky enough to have skied at Perisher, Thredbo and Falls Creek. I love the snow and spending my birthday in a winter wonderland! This is why I have chosen to return to Falls in 2017.

Beautiful scenery

There’s beautiful scenery when driving to Falls. It’s not much further than travelling to NSW ski resorts and it’s worth travelling the extra distance. You know you are close when you can see the snow capped mountains in the not too far away distance.

It’s beautiful at Falls too with it’s snowy mountains.

Wonderful Adaptive Instructors

I find out where adaptive instructors I know are teaching and decide who to follow. I’m really happy with my progress with Charlie so will return to Falls to continue working on my turns.

Community Feel

It’s a great community feel at Falls. Staff are very accommodating and helpful. It’s great to also catch up with friends on the slopes.

Good Accommodation

The accommodation is good and located on snow. Last year I stayed at Falls Creek Country Club. It was a great place to chill out and rest at night. It’s located right on the mountain without any need to drive up the mountain each day. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food isn’t too bad either with kitchen facilities in the unit to make our own food too.

Delicious Food

The food is delicious! I had the best buffet last year to celebrate my birthday. There’s plenty of variety and it’s not too expensive.

It’s Fun!

It’s fun to ski at Falls! The slopes are progressive catering for beginners, intermediate and pro skiers and boarders. There are also plenty of other activities to enjoy. Last year I enjoyed snow mobiling with my family. This year I hope to do a scenic helicopter ride!
